Its been a long long time

Dudes....

What's up????

Its been a long time - how's it goin? A LOT has changed since I've been around these parts....I don't even know what I was like the last time I was here, but I know I've changed....a little update for those interested - I'm doing well out here in CA - working at a little post production house in Santa Monica doing low-end assistant editing. They're doing Stacey Peralta's new flick there (he did Riding With Giants, Pipeline Masters, and Dogtown and Z-Boys and was one of the original skateboarders in Venice, CA) so I get to watch that being edited - its on the gangs of south LA (most famously Compton) and its hardcore shit, but really good - its very powerful....look for it at Sundace this coming year. The other major editor there does a lot of trailers and such for shows like The Hills and for awards shows like Kids Choice Awards on Nickelodeon. As you can imagine, the work varies a lot, and its never the same! They're very cool and open, and there's a lot of potential there so I'm happy....

Also have been with a gal - Christine - for 6 months now. She's gorgeous and we have a deep connection...we have our problems like any couple, but we seem to be able to come back to this deep connection at the end of every day/fight/time being apart...and that is amazing to experience. I hope that continues.

I'm working on finishing a comedic improv pilot right now - the editing is taking me FOREVER since it was all improv and comedy is hard enough to get correctly timed and all that to begin with! I'm happy with how its coming along though...here are some links to some preview-ish stuff:

This is a "trailer": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4FZiQ2v6P8

Here is just a mashed together series of scene chunks:

We'll see how it turns out. Also JUST ran my first marathon - the LA Marathon - on Sunday. It was a major climax to my dedication to running that began with me wanting to lose weight - back in college I was up to 240 lbs and now I'm at a consistent and confident 170ish lbs. I have learned to love running everyday and running the marathon was a big way to sort of cap that all off....I'm now going to continue running marathons and other races for Team Duke - a cancer research foundation. So I'm just really friggin busy, and very different since that last time I was yelping around here! I hope you guys are all well, and I miss the comraderie I always got from you guys......I almost reinstalled D2 a couple weeks ago...its strange how that sticks so deep in me.... Seriously, if Blizzard ever comes back to its senses and comes out with a D3 I WILL be here and we WILL roll on that shit....in fact I'm sure they will and I can't wait to fucking take a week off of work and game it up!! That'd be so sick.... Anyway. What's up wafflefolks. I missed ya - good to see ya!

Good to hear from you! Get on AIM more noob :P

I wasn't really diggin the trailer till the last line where she was like "i -love- the cock"

The 2nd thing was better.. but the actors are terrible.
But im not a huge fan of improv.

And im sure you've already caught this.. but is the yoga guy suppose to be rubbing her vag? because you can totally see both of his hands..

Oi.. im so negative.

I love the idea of the show (sorta an odd threes company). And I love the old lady though. Shes gold. Anyway, be around more. And pimp it hardcore :P

Wow, Aaron, glad to see you drop by. Man, you're into some great opportunities there, personally and professionally. Congrats on all that. No matter what you're editing, I think it would be cool as hell. Stick to that, and I'll expect to see some big screen credits, real soon!

Yeah Roam I only have about 1/3 of the footage cleaned up to mess with so its skimpy....the sound isn't pro so its gonna sound amaturish, but I'm in love with the project so we'll see how it pans out... The second thing was just unedited chunks of scenes - no rhyme or reason - just threw up together so the cast could see themselves while we edit and get a little gratification for their hard work on no pay! Anyways - see you guys around.....seriously...when's D3...

Welcome back Aaron ... nice to see some of the old faces popping back up.

I'm still around here and there ... not posting up a storm or anything, but I do check in a couple times per week typically.
