fuggen bitches!
Note the date.
Next. Imagine being such a considerate asshole that you clued in when a certain female friend of yours said "hey, those are really cute" to the giant red plush hearts at the drugstore a few weeks back.
Then, you chase all over town for the last week trying to snag one, but the closest you can come is the giant red plush LIPS (note, not a heart).
Also, hiding it in her car at the university. Well, apparently the lips are tacky and instead of being flattered that I listened to the useless babble that comes out of her lips, and that I chased all over town to get her a nice gift, she's disappointed that I didn't get her exactly what she wanted.
If she wanted it so goddamn much, she should have spent her own coin on it, instead of hoping that I would run back to the store the very next day to get it for her.
I have a solution though. Women should be beaten on a fairly regular basis, such that when they receive something warm and soft and pretty, they're grateful, instead of being disappointed.
Happy hallmark holiday.

Dude, I understand your frustration but comments like the above aren't even funny.. IMO to many women have to deal with fucking assholes who can't express their frustration and anger in any other way than with their fists to make it a topic to be joking about. The Mac wrote:/../ I have a solution though. You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
There probably isn't any meaning in life. Perhaps you can find something interesting to do while you are alive. Like how you found that flower. Like how I found you.

As far as Valentine's Days go with me and m y wife, this year I really boned myself. She got me a card and a friggin huge candy bar. I was waiting on the last minute and then Ohio for the 20 feet of snow. So when I got up yesterday and said I wasnt going anywhere, she definately let me know
Top it off with one uber night of SWG space pvp and my wife decided to go into work.

so, obviously you have all discovered that women are not always the most honest in their pursuits, especially with men. I volunteer my time and services to help you render them speechless by decoding their random garbled attempts at "hinting" to you what they want. However, you do have to understand that not only will we not change, but that you are called to go above and beyond the call of what we hint at.
For example, yes, you were supposed to run back and buy those hearts the minute you were out of her presence. BUT since she told you SO far in advance, the perfect touch would have been those hearts, balloons, and a bunch of roses in her car... ...above and beyond.
And ya know, we don't always like the "nice" guys. Sometimes, well, I'm lying, the MAJORITY of the time when you think you're being "nice" we are finding you spineless and irritating. Men are supposed to be aggressive. And we find it sexy when you are aggressive in weird ways. TAKE us somewhere new. Don't ask where we want to go. Have a date planned ahead of time. And don't always pick up the phone. Return text message always, but not immediately. And for heaven's sake, ON A LOVER'S HOLIDAY, DO SOMETHING BIG!!

valentine is a bullshit holyday, like fathers day and mothers day as well
valentines should be called : give something to your girlfriend day
cause wether its something you buy, something you do, or just giving them attention... they want it on that day
and thats part of relationship bullshit, wich is something wich seems firmly indented in our culture
why should guys go above and beyond, and not women?? the whole relationship issue has been mired by the media, giving us a preconceived idea of what to do, what to expect etc... i feel that preconceived idea is wrong
but its not like i can do anything about it...
anyways
asking for something and then bitching cause you got something else, is childlike and immature... more so if the asking was not so clear
ps : and note the l33t mod action of moving a topic... yea i do some stuff sometimes

relationships are indented into our culture because it's how a culture thrives and survives. being bitter about it won't make it any less true.
and no, i think women should do something for their men too. It's a two way street. But I also think women should do things for their men all the time. Call me old fashioned but she should make him things, bake him things, and have something special for him. Everyday of the year.

im sorry, i guess i didnt make myself clear...
i dont got anything against relationships
my problem, and that might be something wich is more apparent where i live,
is that there is an unbalance in how the whole thing works
i see guys around here being bossed, whipped, and castrated into their roles as boyfriend/husband
shit my room-mate got into a yelling contest just because the door was locked when his girlfriend was coming over
the door was locked... thats it, and she was pissed
anyways, she phoned him (why not ring?) and told him to go unlock the door asap, at wich point yelling ensued
obviously thats one example, i could fetch more, but its mainly to demonstrate what i intend to say

See, shiram knows where it's at. He knows that it means more to have a great date on a day that ISN'T valentine's day, because then you're doing it because you want to, not because it's expected of you. He knows that a relationship isn't just about mutual attraction, affection, and attention, but also respect. And I'm sorry, but for a guy that's going to school full time, working full time, and is involved in a couple student groups on campus, there are realistic and unrealistic expectations on the amount of time that I can dedicate to finding a large fuzzy heart.
Oh well, spring break is coming up, so that should provide a nice little holiday and I'll take some time to reconnect and relax together.
That said... Lilly, if women like an assertive man, one who takes them firmly by the hand and leads them new places, where would you like to be led? A few fresh ideas maybe?

I can identify conversationally manipulative tactics, but when it comes to personal preference, keep in mind I am extremely high maintenance, and with good reason. A picnic is nice when you;ve been together forever, but the one time it was done for me wasn't so great. Everything was perfect, honestly, and he was a sweet guy, but I much would have prefered something a bit more high class.
Take me to a nice restaraunt with a dance floor. Pull me close to you and teach me something I don't know. Take me to a coffee shop where your friends are, and are discussing the knowledge of the world, whether it be politics or philosophy. Prove that you like to show me. Prove that you know I am beautiful, and intelligent. Prove that you trust me among your friends. And that my thoughts are valid.
I, personally, like expensive things.

I'll figure something out, and thanks for the input. Pretty well what I've been doing, so it's nice to have the validation.
