X-men 3 - The last stand

Post by shiram »

Well the mutants are all back, with new friends and enemies, to go at it again, for a supposed last round. To me this one is fairly easy to anticipate, basically lotsa cool mutants and action, if they failed to do that, and focused too much and the MANY caracters we'll have a long drawn out boring movie.
cant wait to see juggernaut just tearing shit up.

release : 26th of may 2006
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

its very unfortunate that they're going to make this the last one. They've all been really great (even though they strayed from the comics with Jean as Pheonix w/o going into space, but oh well). Kelsey Gramar as beast...i have mixed feelings. He's got the "air" to play him... meaning...pretentious and uptight but very intellegent, but aside from that..he just doesn't strike me as ....beastly...

Magnito won't disappoint, nor will Prof X. Both are top quality actors. Gotta love this movie....probably will be the best of the year.

im thinking Beast will be alright, the only area wich might be a problem is fight scences, but beat will probly not duke it out as much as Wolverine
and beyond that, they can CGI him or whatever
they confirmed that they will do the fastball special as well
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Last one? That sucks....

I had mixed feelings about Kelsey at first, but now I think he'll be really good. He's a tall and broad guy, I think he'll pull it off.

and possibly another trilogy, but with new actors
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Ive only seen snippets here and there of this movie, so going in not knowing all the details (Unlike the last 2) is a cool deal. I hope they do more then this one, as Shir said, but personally I hope they move off the anti-mutant topic slightly to incorporate an Apocalypse-esque type movie. I know the X-men are all about "Mutant Hate" and the like, but pitting the X-men against an antagonist (Magneto) always wanting to destroy non mutants gets old and dull.

Ive got the week off that this comes out, ima watch it fo shizzle

well obviously magneto wont be played by the same actor, as the movie depicts his young year during the world war, interesting background to say the least

I just got back from watching this.

I hope Pirates 2 is good, cause this movie sucked.

Kelsey Grammer as Beast was an excellent choice. The other characters we cool. They played the Phoenix thing terrible though.

***SPOILER ALERT***

Alright, hopefully you wont see this if yer not wanting spoilers and il try to keep them at a min.

What they did to Cyclops and the Prof was braindead wrong. The director needs shot. Hally Berry playing a lead is aight, but it sucked balls. I liked the SFX and the music was good, the instances for the locations were kinda meh and the fighting was great. Beast did throw down like Wolvie and Huge Jackson let Wolverine cut lose. He had a fight scene where he fought a guy who had regenerative capabilities. -SLICE!- One arm gone, flying across screen and it would grow back. Angel's character was a cool sight to see as well. All the sub-par X-men were nice to see too (SHADOWCAT!)

Props: Wolverine got 2 Fastball Specials.
A Computer Generated Sentinel in the Danger Room gets axed yo.
Naked Rebecca Romijn
The real Blackbird!!!!
Beast was pwn
Multiple Man Jamie Madrox

Slops: Phoenix/Dark Phoenix. the whole idea was a waste.
RE: Cyclops/Prof X (I will not spoil this)
Jean at the end (See above)
Juggernaut wasnt Xavier's step brother, plsu his powers were mutant, not duel to the crystal like the comics.
Toad got hardly any screen time
Rogue, the whiney little southern girl

I will buy it when it comes out on DVD, but only to keep my set complete. As far as the movie goes, wait for the DVD unless you are a die hard nerd.

I saw it... good movie. I liked the first two better though. I think Genie hit the nail on the head with his analysis. The way the Professor and Cyclops were handled was terrible IMO. I thought Juggernaut was awesome though!!!

decent movie
and PLOT WARNING

well it might be the last film, but only cyclops is the real casulty
jean can come back, and the prof is already back, wich is stupid

halle berry is one of the worst actress of our time
to me it just like a cookie cutter movie

juggernaut saying "im juggernaut bitch" wasnt raw enough

the second one remains the better one for sure
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Wait, the prof came back? I seriously missed that. Also my friend said Jean admitted to killing Scott, but I didnt hear her say that, any confirmation? I missed a lot of shit in this movie because these two dudes sitting behind me were fucking hilarious the whole time.

prof xavier in the begining talks of ethics and whatnot, he implies putting a spirit in a body
afaik Moira Mctaggert is some doctor or whatever, i think we see her only once or twice in the movie
anyways, she got a clinic or whatever so she's got some unconscious body lying around
after the credit, a scene with moira implies the spirit of the prof is back in another body

Jean killed Scott, thats implied, though we dont see it, she doesnt say she did though

i guess it leaves alot of question, especially if you dont know much about the x-men

Hmm, when did moira say the prof was transfered? I remember her saying it, but still, it wouldnt be like the real professor, just his mind in the body of that man :(

she didnt say it
but the scene implies that he is back, no?
even if its just his spirit in some other body
