my cousin did a very similar job for an advertising agency - he drove a Verizon humvee around the nation doing promotional stuff

yeah we were gonna have it look like the Jeep could drive itself and so after he tosses the Red Bull to the guy the Jeep comes busting out of nowhere and he does the re-entry but we didn't have time to shoot it coming back out of the woods so we just left it as him totally abandoning the vehicle and it crashing into the bushes
