So, being a freshman in college, I've had my share of drunken nights. However, last night my roommates, the girl across the hall, and I decided to try shrooms. (toadstools, magic mushrooms, whatever the fuck you wanna call them)
I have to say, it was really an enlightening experience. The five of us all participated, and it just mind-blowing in so many ways.
Of course there was the fucked up or high part of it. Slight visual/audible hallucinations, nothing major. I'm sure some of you know what it's like. It had the crazy laughing aspect of pot and the sheer craziness of alcohol, but was totally different from either of them. It was kind of cool, but really not the interesting part of it all.
After the high point on the way back down, it was just incredible how people acted. It was as if someone totally removed social boundries and self-consciousness. I felt as though I found out who my roommates really were as people. We sat and talked about everything from women to education to business to politics to religion. Nobody argued their side so much as tried to understand and learn from it all. We sat and discussed meaningless crap like the TV shows and movies we watched. Everything was just so real, unbiased, and strangely uncomplicated.
Not only was it a great way to get to know my roommates, it was really strange how I talked to the girl from across the hall. During this whole experience, there was little to no sexual urge in any of us. I felt like I really understood her as a person, rather than a female. While one could say "well, you should treat women just the same as you would men" we all know that's totally impossible. When you meet a woman, you have to run the question at least once: "would I sleep with her? and should I try to?"
Also, there was no desire to binge eat like there is with alcohol or marijuana. It was just a totally strange feeling.
All in all, I feel kind of bad for doing a drug harder than alcohol or pot, just because it's not like me. However, if I had to do it all over again, I think I would do it the same way.
I'm sure others here have experiences with shrooms or similar drugs, share your postive or negative stories!
Drugs.
hehe i think we need to get mikey and roam in a room, and force feed them shrooms then :p
my shrooms experience arent all that clear to me anymore, nothing really major happened anytime i did some
mostly just as you said, some light hallucinations, less shy, and more childish somewhat
but i guess it always depends on what you actually got, quality wise
one thing i found though, is it can never be as cool as the first time...

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I've done shrooms 3 or 4 times. My second time, actually was better than the first.
And IMO. Shrooms are lighter than booze.

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
There probably isn't any meaning in life. Perhaps you can find something interesting to do while you are alive. Like how you found that flower. Like how I found you.
Buttons aren't toys.

I had an awesome time on shrooms (one of the only illegal drugs I have used), adn was drinking at the time too .... it was great! Got drunk as all hell but never became "dopey" or tired. Also, we did the mushrooms by making a tea out of them to make them go further.
All in all, I had a good experience from them .... which is more than I can say for that nasty-ass pot.
