He died of cancer
he was a metal legend, though i never knew his work real well

Yeah, a legend as you say, but I'm no fan of that kind of 'old school' metal though, so haven't really ever listened to mcuh of his music. Everyone have heard Holy Diver though, I guess.

yea, as i said i dont really know much of his work
but he is a pioneer of metal, and so much respect goes out to him
the guy was in Black Sabbath, but he started way before that

he's been credited with inventing the "horns" as well

Yea, apparently his italian grandmother used that sign to ward off evil

Gene Simmons of Kiss claims he invented it though...
as it can be seen on their 1977 album Love Gun

A friend of mine from work got banned from a cell phone christian chat room for saying this dude is burning in hell and needed to die and some other shit. My friend did not like him at all... :roll:
