just a rumor now, but it makes sense
could be a viable contender to WoW as well
Thoughts?
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Although a new Star Wars mmo would definately be appealing, I hope its not KOTOR, even though that platform is hugely advocated, I honestly like the story of the Rebellion era more than any other timeframe.
Thats why I -still- play SWG
The fleecy cloud may kiss the sky...the rose may kiss the butterfly...the morning dew may kiss the grass...and you, my friend, can kiss my ass!

well that being said, i dont see how they'd bring kotor's main element to a mmo game
the whole dialogue choices, combat system and dark/light side thing
as for rebellion era? i guess i feel its a bit overplayed...

Heh, I believe it could work.. perhaps. Personally I hate mmorpgs, because there really aren't any RPG in them, and KOTOR was a true RPG. However, that era of the star wars saga is the greatest IMHO. The wars between jedi and sith and all that could become a powerful plattform on which to build a MMORPG world.

Personally I would rather see a new single-player KOTOR3, even though the sequel was quite dissapointing, than a mmorpg. Can't blame them for trying to beat WoW though..

if they can pull it off more power to them, but anything involving lucas arts (which last i heard was the case) deserves a degree of skepticism.

I hope to god Bioware gets 100% control over this project because lucas arts have damned more games into the bargain bin than any other Non-EA company.
