Yeah, I can hardly wait myself. The thing is, Joseph's kinda getting this thing like "Buddy, could that really happen?" And we're having discussions about movies, how they're made, suspension of belief, etc., because shit nowadays is getting a bit too real. I'm not talking about him asking about this in reference to Transformers, but he's seen the trailer and suddenly those aren't toys up there anymore... so he kinda says "Ok" to seeing it, but he's not cranked about it like I am.

honestly, 2 hours and a half, and no substance
the robots we're cool, but barely present
and often shot in a hazy way so you cant look at em good...
the guy and the chick we're very forgettable as well
luckily there's some great action thrown in there

we dont hear about most of decepticons till the very end
only optimus and bumble-bee say more than 3-4 lines
but yea the action was cool, and for a 2 and a half hour movie i think there could have been more, feature more the transformers than the boy and the girl
the chase scenes we're great, and the dog chase scene with starscream rocked as well

True, it was very different from how I would have made it if I were the director and script-writer, BUT I think it was frickin awesome anyways! I laughed alot dureing the first half of the movie, even tho it was kidna retarded humour, I fell for it! The guy in the lead role was great, and the chick was hot as hell..

Unfortunetly, Megatron was completely wrong altogether, and this was the one major let-down of the move IMO. Especially since I always cheer for the bad guys, and Megatron is the ultimate bad-ass mofo, heh.. He didn't look an ounce like the "real" Megatron does.
Most of the other transformers they had "modernized" kinda well, even tho it's ofc completely moronic to make Bumbelbee a frickin camaro! And Jazz was kinda gay being that tiny and ugly car :-/ It's all 'boot money tho, I presume, whatever car company pays the most gets the transformer, heh..

especially since the new beetle has been put in a number of movies already, and it might have been a pain to get 2 car maker to give license

Gonna see it after holidays. Opinions are very contradictory here - some ppl say it's just great fun, others claim it's another boring and mind-blowingly stupid HW movie overloaded with special effects.
I'm not expecting anything remotely "ambitious", just good fun and action.
BTW, Shrek 3 WAS boring IMO. Really overrated, the entire series.

I wanted fun and action, and I got it. Monika absolutely loved the movie. I wasn't THAT enthusiastic about it but it was okay. Shallow and stupid love threads plus forced humor are typical lolywood 
Otherwise, awesome footage, some intense action and decent, albeit naive, plot. Worth seeing IMO.
