well you might just be infected!!
in what seems to be a total loss of face for sony, they have been exposed for putting software on their cd's to restrict copy and sharing
but that in itself isnt the problem, the problem would be that the files loaded on your puter may render it more vulnerable to viruses

i have been following this news for a while, its really interesting to see the whole debate on artist's right on music, and the lenghts at wich a company will go to secure its revenue source

yeah, i've heard 'boot it some time ago, tho it doesn't really affect me at all since I never buy anything for my 'puter. But it sure is kinda crazy what they actually do, as you said, to foce us into buyig stuff instead of DL'ing.
In Sweden alot of ppl went fucking berzerk over these news and started a campaign against Sony/BMG. In the swedish show Idol (I think it's the american name for the show to? You know the one where you vote for an artist who'll get a record deal) they all got together and voted for the guy with the least talent just to try and upset the Sony/BMG representative in the jury, unfortunatly they weren't many enough to vote hin all the way to victory. It would been funny as hell to see that loser get the record deal and the expression on that representatives face! Hehe..

The best part about this. Is that it only effects people who legally bought stuff from them in the first place. Which is just another reason to never buy software. Lol.
