Did Mcnabb think for a second that maybe Owens chose Favre because Favre is a 3 time mvp, surefire first round inductee into the hall of fame, all time great quarterback? Thats got nothing to do wtih the color of his skin, its because *GASP* HES A WAY FUCKING BETTER QB THAN YOU. Mcnabb had a great season last year, other than that hes been completely mediocre, and I havent seen many quarterbacks who are worse in clutch situations.

he can be inconsistent but 4 NFC titles...peyton is ridiculous and horrible in the clutch too....many people are

its what seperates the greats and the legends but that doesn't mean the greats should be trashed

You wanna give me some rationale on calling him a great? Mikey showed at one of the former boards that his stats arent even as good as Brad Johnson's. Is Brad a great too?

And for the record, I dont agree that Mcnabb is a shitty qb, I think hes a whiny ass loser who cant compare to Brett Favre. I also dont think hes a great. Hes a good.

i have to disagree. McNabb is only an average QB. His stats have NEVER been close to amazing, never won a SB, and never recieved an MVP award. I'm sorry - but unless you do at least one of those things..you're not "great".... you're average.

by the way - McNabb only won the NFC title once. last year. three times before that: Lost to the panthers, lost to the Rams, then lost to the bucs. Simply put - McNabb is nearly (he at least MADE it ot the SB) the choke artist that Manning is.

If your stats suck, but you're winning, it ain't you. You're not contributing much. The other 10 guys on the field with you are, as well as the others on the defense.

here are the 4 years that the eagles made it to the NFC Title game - its going to be real apparent why the eagles made the title game four years straight - it aint McNabb

2001:
#7 Overall Defense with 4 members of their defense going to the pro bowl
#19 overall Passing - bottom half of the league

2002:
#6 Overall Defense - 4 probowlers again
#18 Passing again - bottom half

2003:
#22 Overall Defense - only 2 probowlers
#18 Passing - wow captain decent sure is consistant
these numbers look pretty shitty, how did they make the title game?
#9 overall rushing - a three headed monster featuring Buckholter, Staley, and Westbrook

2004:
#8 overall defense - back in good form with 5 probowlers
#6 in the passing game - Terrel Owens put McNabb on his back and took him to the super bowl

McNabb does two things better than most quarterbacks. He runs well (or should I say used to run well), and he doesnt turn the ball over (2005 was a bit of an aberration - by halfway mark of the season he had already met his normal totals for fumbles and interceptions). Hes a qb who can sit on a lead - thats not a great qb. His stats certaintly dont suck but they arent anynear near achieving greatness. Like I said before, McNabb is just a good qb, solid, not great.

You're right. He's not a Kyle Boller, or Ryan leaf, or Joey Harrington. His stats DON'T suck. he's not a bad QB like some of the people here seem to think. But don't confuse not sucknig with being good. Because they're not good. They don't blow you away. They don't grab your attention like Peyton Manning, Daunte Culpepper, Brett Favre (in his prime), Randall Cunningham etc etc etc. He's no Troy Aikman, Steve young, Tom Brady, Joe Montana so forth an so on. In elite company, McNabb is only mediocre - and quite honestly, its true.
