Well, that's one helluva smart solution to future problems, should it work. Heh, kinda hard to cut costs to one hundreth of current estimates though, hehe :)

well they gave themselves alot of time to work that out
but yea cutting cost at a factor of one hundredth, i dont see it happening

but this stuff is sci-fi worthy, gotta love it

Indeed it is. It's even so incredibly sci-fi that not even sci-fi authors have ever written anything near it! Hehe..

I always joked with my dad that we needed a way to transmit electricity, except I was thinking more along the lines of transferring electricity from a transmitter in a wall outlet, to a small remote receiver placed anywhere you want in your room(no cords). Essentially a remote surge protector. College Students would eat this up. The outlets are ALWAYS in the most inconvenient location.

you can probably thank your electrical codes for that

but yea wireless power seems like a good idea, but how do you control it??
would it be like wireless internet, where you'd need encryption and password to connect your toaster to your wireless power generator??
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

..and what would it do to the human body? Living to close to electrical fields and power generators is said to give us cancer and what not, is it not? So having that shit in your room is a sure way of making your life a bit shorter methinks, hehe..

i would doubt that about powerline, i mean unless you live right under them, and that they are lower than they should be, i dont see it being all that harmful
i've seen no serious studies on it anyways

and doesnt everything give cancers these days??
