Now tell me. Isn't that worth its own forum?

those are so fucking hard to do right, have you seen how close the (i dont know how you call em in english) legs on the chips are? not to mention how small, and the possibility to burn the chip, cause your heating it too much...
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Better is a matter of opinion. I personally don't think there would be anything better than an 8GB nano right now.

4 gig ipod nano = 249 retail
30 gig standard ipod = 300 retail.

30 gig standard without the dog and pony show... priceless.

Did a little research, about 50 bucks for a broken nano 4 gig give or take a few bucks.

60 gig is $399
30 gig is $299
4 gig is $249

From a pure math view its a total waste of cash and the risk to your working ipod isn't worth it if you're buying a new unit to mod. Since most people get attached to their little buggers I don't see many people forking over $200+ to have some random dude mod their ipod when they can spend $99 more and get a superior unit in the memory department.

The only advantage of the Nano is that it is Chip memory rather than hard disk, so it can't skip when you go running.

I run with my 60 gig photo with no issues, sure its a little beefier but I'm not paying 300+ bucks for something I might ruin modding :P

i don't know the last time my ipod skipped because of the hard disk.

on another note, whats the point of the nano? is it smaller or something?

i like the video one myself.

and i don't see any problems size wise, theyre almost too small, i might lose shit like that ya know.

Nano is considerably smaller. Very thin too.

The nano is much smaller, but the main plus is it can't skip. Hard disks only have 24 second nonskippin' memory.

really, if your doing something which you need more than 24 non skip seconds you probably shouldnt be listening to music while doing it!

and ipods are small enough if i can fit it in my pocket and forget its there, its not very big, hell my cellphone is about the same size as my ipod.

i suggest you stop doing whatever it is, that is making your other ipods "skip!"

You'll have a harder time keeping the damn ear buds in then keeping a ipod HD from skipping. I've frequently ran for over 20 mins on a treadmill with no issues.

I can't remember the incline I run at but its over the 10 mph mark for over half of the run, not some sissy 2 mph walk or 4 mph power walk

I've also run with a 60 pound husky pulling me, not exactly the most usual way to run but I've never had a incident.

hard drives don't skip on ipods from things like running, you have to pretty much beat the thing against a wall with a hammer to make the hard drive skip, so just buy one that holds more data, not one of those faggot nanos

If my iPod (40gig 3rd Gen) is in my trouser pocket and I run it will easily skip after a bit, but that's with loose trousers so it bangs against my leg, with some body contact holder it probably wouldn't do it.

Armband or close to the chest is prefered since you'll usually get the least bit of random movement.
