Well, for the last couple of days my firewall has repeatedly said someone is scanning my ports, I don't think it's really anything to be bothered about since (I think) my firewall is good enough and i keep it updated, but it has really freaked out my GF. My knowldege with things like this is very limited, but what do you guys think? Is it harmless to me, is it only something to fear for ppl w/o firewall? Hope someone can answer me so I can calm down my GF

well apart from closing your ports
or installing a hardware firewall (ie : router)
