The guy in the crowd headbutts the player.. then faked the player hit him. The player got ejected from the game.

I don't understand why it's better than our football though.

No offense, but that was really funny :D
RoamingMadness wrote:I don't understand why it's better than our football though.
And this was even funnier :D :D

First of all, my topic was meant as irony, this clip really shows what kind of whimps that soil the soccer, second, what happens here is that the coach(I think) of the other team in some way talks trash to the player and then attempts to headbutt him but don't do any damage to the player. Then he tries to act wounded as if the player had headbutted him. The player then reacts fast as lightning, in the true soccer-way, and acts wounded he also. Both fall to ground like shot ducks, neither is actually hurt, both are worthless actors.
So back to my topic: Football doesn't pwn american football, it was irony.
I'm a rambling tard now, sitting at home, trying to plan for new years eve, while drinking beers.

Yea, I'm j/k anyway. I used to be a fan of the old Dallas Cowboys, back when Deion Sanders, Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and co. played for them...

Sometimes I still watch the NFL Game Day mag on Canal+ Sport, even if I rarely see any games now.

Yea Roamie but who cares... I was a football newb, I just liked their spectacular style and I didn't give a crap whether they were beatable or not, assholes or nice guys.

I also loved watching MJ although many ppl claimed he was an asshole too, were tired of Bulls' dominance and "hated" him just because everyone loved him.

But... I'm not an opportunist ;) For instance, in soccer I support Milan whether they win or not, and I support Man Utd, even though Chelsea is unbeatable in the Premiership and ManU has just tied the game against Arsenal (good game but no goals, just finished watching it).

I never said anything was wrong with that.. i liked watching them too. I seriously think though, they might have had the best team ever.

And without a doubt, the Bulls had the best basketball team ever.

best team in football EVER?

Come on now. You think teh cowboys of the 90s could beat the Steelers of the 70s? And Untill otherwise proven, the 72 dolphins go down as the only team that was "unbeatable" since no team had done it prior, and no team has done it since.

But i have to completely disagree that hte cowboys of the 90s were the best team in history. That would go to the Steel Curtain, then the 49ers with Montana and Rice, then your cowboys, and followed closely behind would be the patriots of the last 4 years.

Maybe i'm wrong here. But if you wanna look at stats..

They won four straight division championships, the superbowl 3 of those years ( only one other team has ever done it, and they did it first). Hell, one year they sent 11 players to the pro bowl. That's half the lineup.

Not to mention, half the team was on drugs while this was going on.

Come on, you gotta admit Aikman, Smith and Irvin is a retarded sick offense. And lets not forget the addition of Deion Sanders in 1995.

get the numbers if you want, but it doesn't say much. Aikman, irvin, and smith as good as they were, weren't good enough to beat the steel curtain, which (as far as i know) had the most shutouts in a season. Lets not forget that Terry Bradshaw won 4 SB titles in his tenure, and i'm fairly certain he won two straight SBs(which is what Aikman did) and no team to present has won 3. So IMO its not that big of a deal. The pro-bowl nominations are overrated, as much of hte players go on reputation alone. For proof look at Mike Vick, who was selected to the PB as the 23 ranked passer in the NFL - not to mention most Offensive line nominations are based solely on name value, because fans don't appreciate the offensive line play as say the number of TD passes a qb throws.

Whats more is as scary as aikman, smith and Irvin were on offense, only one of them ranks in the top 3 all time at their position: Emmitt. Irvin was good, but a top 3 WR all time? And while we're at it Aikman may rank top 20 QBs of all time COuld be argued top 10, but no where near top 3. The 49ers offense, however, had arguably the best QB/WR of all time. Not just top 3, (Emmitt is IMO the third best RB ever to play behind Walter Payton and Barry Sanders and right in front of Jim Brown and if my hunch is correct LT may surpass all of them but thats a different arguement all together) In Joe Montana and Jerry Rice! Lets not get ahead of ourselves though, we all know, or should know, that Emmitt was the offense running the lead draw which opened up things for the air game - but don't kid yourself and think that Aikman to Irvin scared people nearly as much as Montana to Rice. Hell, I wouldn't even put Aikman to Irvin in front of Manning to Harrison. As good an offense as it was, it was not the best offense ever, and the defense doesn't even start to come close to being mentioned with the 70s Steelers, the 99 Bucs adn '00 Ravens, 85 Bears, etc.

For the record, my top 3 QBs and WRS:

1: Joe Montana
2: Jonny U
3: Brett Favre (all time brett, not just this season. its obvious his skills have diminished)

followed closely by Tom Brady and Peyton Manning

1: Jerry Rice (my vote for the best FOOTBALL PLAYER ever)
2: Randy Moss (if he'd pull his head out of his ass)
3: Marvin Harrison

You forgot Dan Marino - he's GOT to be in there

Don't you have a hometown/regional team you root for Dar - that's the point of sports imo - root for the team representing your little chunk of the world - - I'll never stop loving my Philly teams and I've adopted the Clips from LA since no one ever likes em and I like rooting for the underdog if I have to pick a team - - - go figure they're pretty good this year...

Yeah, Marino is good, but his lack of a ring really irks me. Elway is up there with them too... in fact, they're probably both better than manning, but, and elway better than brady.

we're talkin best qb, not best team and I just don't agree with having to have a ring as a main criterion I mean its a factor but a football team is MANY elements to be really good - qb just can't control so much - - marino had prob best consistency up there with montana and now payton - fuggin machines

yeah I always loved elway's grit - esp those last couple years
