nfl predictions

AFC North
Browns are in the cellar. Between the Steelers, Bengals, and Ravens any of those teams could win the division, and I think one of them will take a wildcard spot. Im gonna say the Ravens and Bengals make the playoffs because the steelers have a new coaching staff which always takes a while to get used to.

AFC East
Patriots win the east easy and I think the Jets will take the other wildcard spot. The Dolphins and Bills are confined to the cellar of the nfl again. Same old story in this division really. I like Thomas Jones on the Jets a lot.

AFC South
Colts continue their strangelhold on the division. They've lost a lot of talent on defense but the lack of a defense hasn't stopped them from taking the division in the past. Jacksonville has to figure out how to cut the upsets by teams like Houston before they are gonna take over the South. Houston will wish they had Carr back after just a few games with Shaub at the helm (although I like how their young defense is shaping up) and Vince Young is just the next victim of the Madden Curse.

AFC West
Broncos win the division and Norv Turner and company lead everyones preseason favorite San Diego Superchargers to a 9-7 record while missing the playoffs. Chiefs are in for a rough year and Daunte Culpepper wonders why he decided to make his comeback behind the worst o-line in football. Im pretty impressed with Denver right now. Travis Henry has been a stud in the past, played pretty damn well last year, and is now running for the Broncos. The defense looks pretty damn good this year. Champ Bailey and Dre Bly at cornerback, are you kidding me? All Jay Cutler has to do is not lose games. Shanahan is by far the best coach in the West.

NFC North
Bears win the division easily. Minnesota will have the worst offense in the nfl despite the presence of Adrian Peterson. Detroit has another losing season and the Pack will have a worse record than last year's 8-8.

NFC East
Eagles win the division whether McNabb plays or not, as Ive said all along its the defense that carries this team. They may not hold people to the fewest points or fewest yards, but they win games. Cowboys take a wildcard spot. Skins finish 8-8 good only for 3rd in the NFC East. Their defense should rebound to top 10 form but the offense is shaky again. Giants might be the worst team in football this year.

NFC South
This division is completely unpredictable. I don't think the Saints are nearly as talented as the guys on ESPN do (one of Yahoo's writers has them as the 3rd best team in the NFL). No team has repeated as division champ since the formation of the NFC South and I honestly don't think the Saints will snap that streak. Falcons are in for a very rough year. I'm gonna say the panthers win the division. I would pick the Saints and Panthers to make the playoffs but the Rams get to play Green Bay, Detroit, Minnesota, Arizona (twice), and San Fran (twice) so only one team from this division gets to move on.

NFC West
Seahawks win the division and Rams take the last wildcard spot based on a weak as hell schedule (they square off with the NFC north, the other weakest division in football). Arizona does not break out this year, just like they haven't had the big breakout for the last 3 years that people have predicted it. San Francisco has got to be the most overrated team in football right now.

so I guess my playoffs look like this:
Ravens
Patriots
Colts
Broncos
Bengals
Jets
AFC Champ: Denver

Bears
Eagles
Panthers
Seahawks
Cowboys
Rams
NFC Champ: ??? Eagles maybe
I think the NFC is completely wide open this year

You should look at the jacksonville roster. They are predicted to have the #1 defense this year... and if Leftwich stays healthy, i think they can actually take away the division. I do agree though, that the jags need to cut out the stupid losses to cellar teams. This team has the tallent to go 11-5 or better, but will they execute?

MY predictions:

AFC South:
Colts
Jags
Titans
Texans

Afc North
Ravens
Bengals
Steelers
Browns (but barely)

AFC West
Chargers
Cheifs
Broncos
Raiders

Afc East:
Patriots
Bills
Jets
Dolphins (Ted Ginn is a bust)

Jags and cheifs make the playoffs as wildcards.

Patriots go to the superbowl

NFC South
Saints (it has to be)
Panthers
Bucs
Falcons

NFC North
Bears
Packers (in a suprising upset, they get a wildcard)
Vikings
Lions (another dismal season. Fire the guy already)

NFC west
Seahawks
49ers(will get the second wildcard)
Rams
Cardnials

and finally the NFC East
Giants
Cowboys
Eagles
Redskins

Its tougher to say who will go to the superbowl out of this dismal bunch of losers. My guess is that the one who gets homefeild advantage whoever that is. I want to say the Packers will go (which would be great imo) but we'll see how it plays out i guess.

I really think jacksonville makes it to the afc Championship game this year. They are finally healthy, and have recievers catching balls. MJD and Fred Taylor are coming back strong and will dominate the opposing teams (we have the softest projected run D schedual) and the top projected defense. It all rests on whether passing game can get down on it. I have to say, i'm excited.

I can understand just about all your predictions except the NY Giants - what in gods name do you see in that team? Eli Manning sucks, Amani Toomer is old as dirt, Tiki barber retired, they lost half their starting offensive line, Strahan is threatening retirement, the linebacking corps got decimated over the offseason, Coughlin is a lame duck coach (and just a plain shitty coach), they ended last season on a horrible note - yet you think they will win the division?

I'm not sold on ANYONE in that division. I suppose i see your point, but i like brandon Jacobs, and Eli was making strides last year. I think its too early to say he SUCKS...

I might be able to see the eagles or the cowboys winning the division but like i said, its quite possibly the weakest division in football this year.

I guess I'm a stereotype of a Green Bay native, so I don't know much outside of my division, but I think the Steelers may have a good season this year. I like the Seahawks as well in the NFC west, SF will continue to suck it up.

Inside the NFC North I don't see the Bears doing as good this year, they got lucky with their lame QB as it was, but they will probably still do better than the Pack, however I expect GB to do slightly better than last year despite losing their best running back and a few others, maybe they will make a wildcard and lose in the first playoff game or something, Vikings suck as usual and will fall apart at the end of the season, the Lions will be lucky to win 4 games.

Also-the Raiders shouldn't even be allowed to play in this league, I see no changes there.

I'm amending my prediction....... Jacksonville will take the AFC South...here is why...

INDY has lost 8 starters from their SB team. Including BOTH corners, their LEFT TACKLE, Booger McFarland is out for hte season, one of their safties (mike Doss), 2 linebackers....

With the undersized defensive line, and with bob sanders on the PUP right now (he is a great player, but a bit on the injury prone side) I cannot see how they'll keep ANYONE off the field. I don't see the colts going more than 9-7 this year. Seriously.

I pretty much agree with you except we've been in this situation with people saying Indy is screwed and theres no way they can overcome the losses... but then they overcame the losses

I totally disagree about the NFC East being possibly the worst division in football though, they are easily the best in the NFC (but far, far below any division in the AFC). Philly and Dallas are both top 4 teams in the NFC, no other division has more than 1 good team. 3 teams from the NFC East made the playoffs last year, thats half of all NFC playoff teams and 1/4 of all NFL playoff teams. The Giants took major steps backwards and the Skins probably wont get into the playoffs this year, but theres no other division that can challenge the east in the NFC. The NFC East will definitely post a winning record against the other NFC divisions.

I think the west is going to suprise you. The 49ers looked poised to make a run, and the seahawks are arguable the best team (aside from Maybe the bears or saints) in the NFC. The cardnials could do well this year as well and the rams aren't too far behind...

What surprises me about the west is how everyone thinks that they are going to break out season after season after season.

San Fran is crap. They were horrendous last year but still managed to squeak out a few close victories somehow. 298 points for is good for I think 26th in the league, 412 points against put them at DEAD LAST. The defense still sucks, the offense still sucks, the coaches still suck. They didn't even end the season on a high note. Frank Gore won't have nearly as good a season as he did last year, if he even stays on the field (I don't know if you follow Miami football but this kid was a walking injury in college and he even missed his first year as a pro to an injury). He just broke his hand which only makes his fumble problem worse. Alex Smith just plain blows. Kadians definitely got it right on the 49ers.

Arizona is almost as bad. Last year they outplayed the 49ers but the record didn't show it (they even beat San Fran twice). 5-11 with 314 points for and 389 points against puts them slightly ahead in both categories, but still at the very bottom of the nfl. They have a shitty offense, a shitty defense, but they at least have the luxury of having a new coach who might suck or might not. Lienart is better than Alex Smith, the receivers are studs, and Edjerrin is a Grade A running back behind the worst o-line in football (yea I think this o-line is worse than Oaklands).

I think that Seattle, Dallas, New Orleans, and Philly all have good arguments for being the second best team in the NFC behind the Bears. Seattle should win at least 10 games this year. I agree with you here. I didn't pick New Orleans to make the playoffs this year mostly because no team has repeated as NFC South champ since it was created and I don't think the Saints are the team to break the trend.

I believe the Rams played about right where they should have last year at 8-8, but I think their schedule got easier this year so they could finish 9-7 and make the playoffs in the horrible NFC. The offense is lightyears ahead of what San Fran and Zona have to offer. Their defense gets a major boost from playing opposite that offense and they should hold opponents to less points than the other cellar dwellers in this division.

i predict daaaa bears..

Just so i can say daaaa bears.
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

There probably isn't any meaning in life. Perhaps you can find something interesting to do while you are alive. Like how you found that flower. Like how I found you.

Video is kinda lame, but the song is what I was looking for, it's pretty funny.

In case you didn't know, the comment about "where do you think they go every chance they get" is sooooo true, about half the state of Illinois comes up to Wisconsin every weekend and speed like jackasses on our highways and pay no tolls, dump gas in our lakes with all their boats, and generally act like idiots, but charge all of us to pass by Chicago..... BASTARDS!!!! It's a good thing they spend money up here or they'd be the one paying tolls out the ass.

Like I said, I'm a true Green Bay native.....
