Music to look forward to

Post by shiram »

what cd's are you anxiously awaiting for?

my list is short, and cheesy...

Strapping Young Lad - The New Black
a new album from extreme thrash industrial canadian band. Wow, what a discovery SYL was to me, such extreme heavy metal madness! Gene Hoglan is a monster on the drums, and the rest of the band is as solid.

Blind Guardian - A Twist In The Myth
Good old german power metal, from the bards. The new album featuring a new drummer is set to be released soon, and promises to be heavier than their last effort. Hopefully they will deliver. Looking forward to the iron butterfly cover of inna gadda davida!

Luca Turilli - The Infinite Wonders of Creation
Well Luca is the brains behind Rhapsody, and created this side project to showcase a (slightly) different sound. Usually Luca's music is symphonic, bombastic and features walls of sounds, all harmoneouly mixed. Olaf Hayer will take the mic again, and i must say his voice is an excelent power metal voice. This should turn out to be quite a fun album.

Iced Earth - Something Wicked
John Schaffer, axeman and composer for IE has announced a new album in preparation. A continuation of the something wicked story. To me ths will be an intriguing release, as the last album The glorious burden, was met with mixed reviews. Hopefully setting aside certain subjects, and focusing more on the music, this next release will also feature former judas priest singer, Tim Ripper Owens, whom will hopefully do a better job of reaching the high's and low's on this new release.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Nothing I know of, but if Rammstein, Danko Jones, S.O.A.D, releases something new, I'd get it.

Well with 2 albums recently from SOAD, can't see that happening. Good luck with the rest.

I know none of those mentioned above will release anything new, didn't know about the hiatus either. Then again, I don't even know wtf it means.

Gnarls Barkly

I may be in the minority on this one, but I really like the album and I'll pick it up when I see it.
