Casting was decent even though I hate Kevin Spacey. The story was your typical good kid goes down the wrong tracks type with a little hottie who falls for him. That said it was a very entertaining 2 and a half hours, not exactly a thinking mans movie but it was worth the price of admission.
"I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't have maps and I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and the Iraq and everywhere like such as and I believe that they should our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S. or should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future for us."

That movie sucked really badly. It had nothing to do with the book and was further from the actual story that really did occur.
For starters the kid who was portrayed by the main character was Asian.
You don't get beat up for counting cards they just throw you out the place, and Kevin Spacey is a little turd who needed to be dropped on his head when he was a baby.
Rounders kicks the hell out of this movie.

When you don't care about the outcome everything becomes easier.
