i really liked this movie
never saw the original so i cant say how it fares against it, but it definately a great slasher, with all the fixins to make it good
recommended if you like slahsers

Heh, never seen the original!?!? It's a classic, goddamnit! 
The original is actualyl quite good, more of a creepy thriller/horror than a slasher really, IMHO, just like the first friday the thirteenth.
IMDB folks has ranked it quite low, 6.1 out of 10, not that that perticular rating is 'ultimate'. If enough ppl has voted on imdb.com, then their ratings usually tend to reflect my own personal opinion quite well, although not perfectly.
With that said, I don't think I'll rent it or anything, wouldn't mind seeing it, but won't spend time or money on getting it, heh.. (paradoxical, i know)
