Sim... everything. Without a doubt. This is freaking amazing.

The only thing I didn't catch was the interaction of those things developed by other players. I half expected this to be some genre of MMORPG, but he seemed to refer that while you could visit another planet, the planet's info from the other player wasn't "live". It was sent to your computer and your client continued its processes. It would truly be cool as hell if this was an MMORPG type of thing, where you could build predators, gatherers, scavangers, etc., etc. and assume those roles in live action with other players.

I agreewith ya Mikey, but it wouldn't be so fun tho if you've spent weeks playing your civ up through all of evolution, and then suddenly a ufo arrives and with it's death star laser look-a-like annihilates your entire civ :-/

Obviously, that would have to be removed, or an appropriate defense capability available.

I think the key is not how badass this game is. But how badass its influence will be for future games.

I think pretty low. Just a decent video card and around 512 RAM, id imagine. Shouldn't take up much space either.

Like I was telling roaming its got all gameplay types all mixed and working in conjunction n shit. Got a little adventure, 3rd person, strategy, etc. Its made by maxis so go figure them making another game about some life sim.

Mikey: I really like your idea of it being a MMO where your role in the game really does make an impact n stuff. It could lead to some very very intresting pvping.

Roaming: Dude your nuts if you think this game is going to be low specs. Do you see how big those worlds are? And how easily he can just like zoom in and zoom out? To do that takes some serious power... and now these days with the physics games are using its going to take a newer computer for sure to handle. As a given the space to install should be hefty too considering again how games are slowly coming out more and more onto dvd.

The worlds arent very big. In fact, the way i looked at it, each planet is smaller than any planet we played on SWG.

And it doesn't use tons and tons of huge pictures. It uses thousands of little ones, held together with a little code.

So it's not much more difficult to 1,000 of those worlds than it is to generate the one you're on.

I might be wrong, but i really don't think it'll be that much.

Dude focusing on the details on the individual planet and how rounded everything looks. If you notice there no jagged looking pixels, textures or even models period. That means everything your seeing is high poly count which is just more shit to process, mentioning again the physics taking place everywhere, AND all the other little tribal cities which is even more shit to process. Now getting onto the worlds if you hear the video you'll hear him mention that all those planets are going to be downloaded like adding custom objects like in the sims so technically if your only playing your planet and whatever default planets will come to the game its still a heavy load to handle on a decent computer if you ask me. Reguardless to say the game is looking fucking astonishing.
