For those into strat style fps games, World of Tanks is set in a world war 2 style setting where you are the driver and tank gunner of a tank. You drive around a battlefield shooting enemy players in their own tanks while attempting to capture their base. THrough the course of the game, yu gain experience and "credits" used to invest more skills (research) for equipment, and purchase new gear, even new tanks, to make your career as a tanker more enjoyable. The game is built around "microtransactions" where to get MORE out of the game, one must spend real currency. Having all the gold doesnt mean you are the best of the best. Building and leveling your tanks takes a little time, effort and skill to win and grow stronger, and allows you access to the better tanks. The game has various playstyles, from artillery (long range camping) to drive by, to sniper style.
The game is in beta, so its not too easy to get in to, but the game itself is free. Just doa search for beta keys and your in.
