Hey guys, my cousin's getting married soon and most of my family is flying over there (except me cos i have to work and I cant get any time off cos i'm still new lol, maybe next time)
Just a question though, down here and in asia, there was an option to buy prepaid sim cards for mobile phones (err... CELL PHONES) so they could bring their phone overseas, switch in the sim cards and use it for the duration of the trip.
Is there something like that in America, because my family over there isn't exactly sure heh. There's some "roaming" thing but I'm told it costs a crapload. And if there is where would the best place to get such things exist ? They will be in the San Francisco area for the duration but maybe will be going to other states, not too sure since I haven't paid much details (cos i'm not going, lol, stuck at home watching the world cup ftl)
Thanks

Never heard of the SIM thing.
Your best bet is to see what type of company they use, and see what the company says about using the phone overseas.
The only thing i really know for sure you can do here is buy a prepaid phonecard for international use, and use it at a land line (payphone / housephone).

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
There probably isn't any meaning in life. Perhaps you can find something interesting to do while you are alive. Like how you found that flower. Like how I found you.
Buttons aren't toys.
