God damn she's an idiot. She paid for her boyfriend to ride a bus from Ohio somewhere all the way out here to Oklahoma. He hid in her car for more than 6 hours to wait for my parents to go to bed so he could come inside and eat, go to the bathroom etc. Whats worse is my dad, waking up everyone for easter sunday's church extravaganza, opened her door to find him, and her, both half naked in her bed.
I give my dad props for not shooting the bastard there and then (he's almost 20, she JUST turned 16 for those who wanted to know) but he did tell him if he EVER stepped foot inside his house again, that he'd be shot. My dad, being the generous man he is, did not call the police, but took the bum to the bus station, plopped down the money for him to buy a ticket home and left him at hte station with the promise "i'll be back at 4:00 to make 100% sure you're on htat bus. And if you're not, i'm calling the police."
The neighbor (who is my brother's best friend) was like "Yo, who was that curly hair'd kid? Damn you're dad sure looked pissed at him" R-O-F-L
My dad came home and he was so mad, it sounded like he was going to cry...but he doesn't cry...ever...you could kick him in the nuts stab him in the throat then cut off his hand and he'd only make a slight hiccup noise. So to hear a tremble in his voice...was quite scarry for me, and i'm not even in trouble.. I'll update more when new info comes available. But goddam i thought my sister was smarter than that...but it just goes to show... nope!

Who cares what the law says- if Oklahoma considered 16 not to be a minor would it be ok? He's 20 and she's only just 16. There is a lot of personal growth that happens in the years in between. besides, i've talked to this guy and he's a total lunatic....he's one of those whiney emo guys that you'd just like to push out in front of a bus and watch him squirm afterwards.

And yes, the age of concent is 16, but what he did was still considered statitory rape (but not prosicutable because he wasn't greater than 4 years older. Oklahoma has a dual law that states that if the Concenting people must be 16 or older, from 16-18 not be greater than 4 years apart.)
But thats not why my dad would have called hte cops...he would have called them for being in the house period. While he WAS allowed in by my sister, she is a minor, and because she's a minor, he was still trespassing. My sister took the emergency contraceptive (not to be confused with morning after pill), and the hospital is required by state law to contact the police when a minor is given that perscription, and when a minor is coming forward after having sex with an adult - statitory rape, whether charges will be brought or not.
Furthermore, the officer told my mom that if it ever happens again (which is VERY VERY VERY doubtful) just to be the living shit out of the guy and claim "I thought he was raping my daughter" When my mom said "My husband would probably kill him" the officer said "Just say I thought he was raping my daughter and you'll be fine"
Bottom line is, Roam, my mom had said on several occasions that she did NOT want this guy coming to Oklahoma to visit my sister, untill at least she was 18, and that she was to NEVER have him at the house. What she did was completely and utterly stupid - to buy him a ticket to Oklahoma, pick him up with her other 16y/o friend, and bring him to our house. After what happened to a 10 y/o girl here in Oklahoma just two days ago... its quite stupid to be bringing people you meet on the net your house. (A girl was abducted by her neighbor, tied up, attempted to be decapitated, beaten in the head with a 2x4 and FINALLY when none of that killed her, suffocated. The man said he had planned on raping the corpse, than eating it. This is one of hte most heinous crimes Oklahoma has seen)
So, yeah, you may not see a problem with it, Roam, but quite honestly there is ALOT wrong with it....first and foremost the complete disregard for what her parents have warned her against. You know, most of the time, parents know what they're doing, and aren't putting down rules just to make their kids' lives miserable. The rules have purpose, and its usually to protect their children.

When the person is 16 or 17 years old, i dont think they should date someone who is more than 1 year older....b/c when you are that age, 1 year is a big deal...once you are out of high school its not so much, but it is when you are that young.
someone who is 20 years old has had so much more time to finish growing up, alot of development takes place in those 4 years, and at 16 they shouldn't be dealing with sex, i know that they do this at much younger ages now, but IMO 16 is still a child and sex means you have to grow up and they shouldnt be dealing w/that so young.
