Job situation...heh

Post by Styrofoam »

Got a new job at hte bowling alley...and i'm at my current job...at the tuxedo shop. Its VERY hard for me not to just walk out, as i'm good enough friends with the assistant manager to use her as my job reference from here that it wouldn't matter if I left - so its hard for me to not say "need to get a drink of water" then poof. I need help guys...should I stay or should I go?

just stay for as long as your supposed, dont walk out on a shift

if your superior knows your leaving, thats cool
just be polite, while still thinking of yourself

if you have a better job, any decent boss wil understand, they might not like it though, but they'll understand
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

oh, but his boss is far from decent....this women is on a whole other level, from what i hear....

my thoughts, not that they matter cuz i'm just the g/f, is that he should give his two weeks, work those two weeks, then leave.

you hate the job, you shouldnt stay....it makes you hard to be around when you come home after every shift pissed at your job, b/c it comes out on me. it would be nice for you to be happy and not pissed off for once, b/c i'm tired of you being angry at me for shit i didnt do. :(

what she said made alot of sense
give your 2 weeks, work them and then go to your other job
its not mean or anything, your just looking out for yourself
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Not a good idea to tarnish yourself by walking out, be a pro and work until you have to.

Or do like Roaming does. Quit in the middle of a meeting on 'employee attitude'.

imo getting fired is better.

on another note.

unless your boss is you know, competent, than giving your 2 weeks isnt always good, sometimes it'll backfire and you'll end up working the 2 worst weeks of your life.

but if you boss knows what lawyers are, 2 week notices are good.

surely she's not smart enough to try anything? she's pretty dense from what i've heard, and i dont think sara would do anything....

besides, he's worked there for over a year, and it would be a shame to not be able to put that down when applying for another job just b/c you pissed them off by walking out.
