Survey Help
So i'm trying to compile a list of things people wish they were. Anyone who wants to add to this list, please do. For now, you can add as many things as you want, but this will be a two part thread. So don't bother repeating things other people have said. Just add more things, if you can think of any.
Things like..
I wish i was funnier.
I wish i was smarter.
I wish i was a better speaker.
I wish i was less emotional.
I wish i was more emotional.
I wish i was more attractive.
Not things like..
I wish i was thinner.
I wish i was in better shape.
I wish i looked like Brad Pitt.
So post away.. and just try not to repeat yourselves.. i'm looking for at least 10 differen't things people want to improve about themselves on a nonphysical level.

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
There probably isn't any meaning in life. Perhaps you can find something interesting to do while you are alive. Like how you found that flower. Like how I found you.
Buttons aren't toys.

It doesn't make sense because you're shallow. People are attracted to other people for reasons other than physical appearence.
Ill pretend like you aren't a complete moron who's just trying to cause problems.

so your saying that being better looking physically and such doesn't have ANYTHING to do with being more attractive?
you don't get hit in the face with a shovel and become more attractive because your so damn nice.
you can be attractive for other reasons, but when someone says "I wish i was more attractive" that means "I wish random people on the street think i'm pretty and look at me!"
it doesn't mean "I wish i was a more caring individual who likes to listen to peoples shitty problems, and i wish i could tell jokes better!!"

People are attracted to other people for lots of reasons. Money, power, fame, intelligence, skills.. just to name a few.so your saying that being better looking physically and such doesn't have ANYTHING to do with being more attractive?
And i didn't say physically attraction wasn't one of them. But, I clearly pointed out i didn't want examples of that.

No one is debating first impressions are based on appearance. Or even all impressions. But does anyone else wish anything for themselves that isn't that? And that isn't what bane said.

here goes...
I wish i was more confident, had better self esteem, had more motivation to do things w/my life, had a better job, i wish i liked myself, was more out going, better sense of humor, in better shape, was a people person, wasn't so lazy, had a better personality, wasn't so emotion, didn't take things so seriously/personally, was able to let go and have fun w/life, less negative, and i also wish i was alot less angry....
the rest is purely physical, so i'll just stop w/what i have listed already.

dont think its such a guy to do, this here kinda survey
but here goes
i could definately be a more social kind of person
beyond that, i recently started training again, and im comfortable with my life
i think at one point one has just to accept who he is, as some things dont change

The fact that #4 and #5 are contradictory combined with my statement above confirms #2.

I believe in being who YOU ARE, but I also don't use this as an excuse for flaws and bad habits.
If you don't like something about yourself, that something is a condition you have upon you, and is something that can change- it is a bad idea to condemn yourself by saying 'that's just who I am'.
I have made a lot of changes recently, become more confident and happy with who I am, standing up for what I believe in.
While I know I have a fair bit to go, I'm glad I'm moving forward.
Something that really helped me was actually some semi-intelligent ebook I found in a torrent of magic trick books which was about communication skills, and being able to read people.
If you KNOW what someone's body language is telling you, you are much more comfortable saying and acting things that you might be inhibited about otherwise.
E.g. There is a simple trick to tell if someone is interested in you (physically) from their first look at you. It's not 100%, and some people can cover (with, or without realising it) either way.
If the person you catch the eye of 'cuts' away, usually a horizontal movement or jerk of the eyes away from yours, then they are not interested, they are pretending they never looked at you.
If they look down, to the side, or especially down into the corner of their eyes at a usually slower rate then it means they are interested and wanted to you to see them, seeing you. If this happens a second glance is quite common and confirms this.
These are done subconsciously so the person doesn't realise they are doing it (you will now catch yourself doing either), and can give a good indication.
This can be a real confidence booster, whether just walking down the street, or when wanting to talk to a stranger. It can be pretty funny seeing some 40-50+ women making the second kind of movement, and even some guys.
I also thought about (and should probably write a list of, that would really help) things that are ME. E.g. the kind of films I like, the directors, my favourite games, my favourite albums, the authors I like, the food I like, weather, etc etc.
Find all the things you like and things you don't like, these are all opinion/taste so there is no wrong answer, don't be ashamed of anything you like either.
You can also do this for the things you don't like.
It really doesn't matter what other people think.
anyway...
I wish I cared less what people think, including wanting validation for my own decisions.
I wish dickhead (sorry no other applicable word) customers didn't upset me so much (I just can't understand why people would behave that way, I would have said annoyed/made me angry, but I just feel upset that people can actually act that way).
I wish I was better at stopping with some things (e.g. Diablo II, thank god I've stopped now. Practicing instruments: gave myself RSI, but also learnt how to treat it- with little or no thanks to doctors).
When faced with a decision that tests my beliefs/morals I sometimes back down because I know how hard the consequences will be if I stand up; I'm undecided which is the better option.
E.g. I watched an old TV show today about American Voter's Rights over the years, and I thought to myself if I were one of the black people in the southern states back then who wanted to vote, but saw that other people were being lynched/attacked for doing so; I probably wouldn't have voted.
