can someone with a gmail account enlighten me?
i received a valentines day card from someone on gmail, but im not sure from whom it is
i got the adress, is there any i could get some more info, without emailing said person?

I have gmail but I don't think there is any information required, pretty much same info as for hotmail etc.

maybe i wasnt clear
i know the person's gmail adress, and i wanna know if i can get any info on them from the email adress, to try and find out who it was

When I said it was like hotmail etc, I meant that you aren't required to give any personal info on sign up; you can't publicly find out who an email address belongs to.

i have so many free gmail invites its not funny, i thought eventually google was going to start charging for it? but like i have 100+ invites and well thats a lot of free beta passes imo.

Yeah I have 100 too, I used one and then a week or so later it was back up to 100.

It's basically a clever way of reducing false accounts being opened. Real users passing accounts onto people they know. Of course a spammer etc could get an account and make himself loads of accounts, but it's easier with other providers.

I got mine AGES ago through a site called gmail swap or similar, I swapped a maltese Tuna dish recipe for an account :D
