When it comes to peoples wish to become famours, or get attention, nothing really surprises me anymore. So yeah, I guess it could have been as simple as that.

Or there's the odd chance she actually did experience all that crap, but as one of the doctors said, it could have been all in her head. So when the reporter catch her off guard she immideately falls into old habits and start to show syndroms again. I kinda doubt that though, heh..
