Thinking about taking the plunge

Post by Styrofoam »

I've been thinking about asking my girlfriend to marry me now for about 2 weeks. I kinda took her by some stores to get an idea of what she likes, and i've pretty much picked the ring out. My credit is bad(more like non-existant), so i have to use lay-away...which will take me about 4 months or so to completely pay off (after i get my car this weekend, i'll start saving up money for the ring)

Anyhow, just thought I'd let you guys know whats going on in my life.
im so disciplined i fold my pocket kings 1 out of every 3 times i get them

I'm saving the "congrats" 'til she says yes ;)

And a short update on my life as well then:

Still unemployed, haven't really got around to look or apply for a new job with a ll the shit going on in my so-called life.

Today is exactly one month since me and my gal broke up, heh.. time goes fast.

My grandma passed away last wednesday as well, so the old saying (at least an old swedish saying) "accidents never comes alone" is, unfortunately, true.

EDIT: "bad things comes in threes" is that the corresponding american saying?

At least I've found a new apartment, a small one-room apartment. Cheap rent and in a good neighbourhood, relatively close to the centre of the city.

things will look up bane. We have a few different sayings similar to that here in America...

When it rains, it pours.

Bad things come in threes.

Misery loves company.

But things will get better. As for the congrats when she says yes, thanks. thats what i'm hoping for obviously, but the way she is talking, i'm pretty sure thats not going to be a problem.

Good luck Styro, hope it works out...
My opinion of engagement rings is go big, so in 10 years when you are making all kinds of money you can still be proud of it... I think the 3 months salary is usually a good suggestion, unless you really make no money, then just get the best you can possibly afford...
