So me and the ex use to debate who were better. Real heros. Or fictional ones. I personally always thought made up characters were better heros than real life people. Whatever. I suck. Regardless. Who are your fictional heros and why? Here is one of mine.

I haven't really had any heroes either, always prefered the bad guys..
I guess there are plenty of those in history of this world who could beat most fictional anti-heroes, heh..
This doesn't mean I glorify bad-asses like Stalin or anything, but they are more intriguing.

Real people are too mundane. I prefer fictional heroes.
Two of my favorites: Salvatore's dark elf Drizzt Do'Urden (see avatar) in his early days and Sapkowski's Witcher Geralt of Rivia.
Drizzt = awesome warrior, pure beauty in combat, heart of gold, a classic rebel (early books, now he's a whiner).
Geralt = bred as Witcher from his childhood, great warrior, ugly smile, nasty yet handsome guy women adore, not your "classic good guy" but still, a very interesting and positive character.

He was killed in Sapkowski's Witcher series but he was one of the most impressive bad guys I've ever read about.

THE assassin IMO, even better than Salvatore's Artemis Entreri.
A pretty old guy, huge height but skinny. Looking almost funny or clumsy with his thin long legs and white mustache. Cold blue, "fish" eyes without mercy or emotion. Incredible speed and strength. Master swordsman. Killed a renown and feared party of young ravagers with just his underpants on. A cruel sadist and a cold-blooded professional at the same time. A scary, real nasty character. Many "classic" villains look like whining boys in comparison to him.

Hah, sounds like my kind of guy! When I play anything DnD-ish I usually play those kind of chars. You know, after killing the Rats (a gang of generally feared but not really evil kids playing raiders in a war troubled time), Bonhart cut their heads off with a saw, while Ciri, the youngest girl had to watch it. He also showed her that her best friend Mistle (a half-elf, older than Ciri but still young) was "full of shit". Literally, cause he sliced her belly open in fight.
Holy crap, this was one of the most evil scenes I've ever witnessed in fantasy literature.
Sapkowski is a giant. No offence but all those US boys writing D&D novels, unfortunately including the recently sucky Bob Salvatore, cannot compare to "Sapek". The guy is REALLY funny (you sometimes really LOL like listening to a great joke), he curses, he's dirty, he writes about sex, joys, evil and good in a so suggestive and emotional way that you just have to keep reading. Thanks to his talent Bonhart looks like a real nasty motherfucker and not some evil wannabe
