damn you got the GTX? shit is expensive (for me, i don't have a real job hehe) i got the GTS 640mb version, and its fucking amazing, definitely worth the 400$ i paid for it.
Yea, I bought it in October or November 2006, I don't remember exactly now. In Poland (Europe, in fact), PC hardware is more expensive than in the US, so I paid like $730 for the card last year. It was really pricy but what can I say, I'm a hardware bitch, especially concerning video cards :P I guess I'm gonna upgrade as soon as a new, clearly superior generation hits the market.

probably worth it though, this gen of video cards are ridiculous.

i'd bet that GTX has better ram and processing power than the average PC heh.

Yep, almost a year with no worthy replacement in sight. That's quite a feat in the modern world of video cards.

The Ultra is a failure though. Clearly more expensive than the GTX, and only about 5% faster, plus it overclocks worse for some reason. Glad I have the GTX. I don't even have a dual core CPU, yet all games are a blast with max settings and in my LCD's native res. Awesome. Gaming performance is all about the cards now, the CPU hardly matters, as long as it's decent.

The only thing more manly would be if it wasn't a gas grill.

I have a small charcoal grill also, they are just such a pain to use.... I also have a fire pit that I suppose I could roast marshmellows on...or something......

Actually if you look at the picture of the trailer right next to front where it is resting on the shelf you will see charcoal lighter fluid.......

I recently got my wife addicted to WoW so I could feed my own addiction even further. Actually, it's been a great bonding experience as well... cuz she's totally in to it and I can talk WOW now with her. SOOOOO that leads on to my purchase... a HP Pavillion laptop, dual core turino 4g ram.. graphics card kinda sucks... kinda bitter about it because it 'claimed' it was good... and I bought it before doing a lot of research. But it runs WOW, so me and my wife started rogues. We're level 24 now... just got it last weekend. Having a blast by the way!!! Still on Darkspear, new rogue is Phreeker. And Hunter is Phreekk and Shaman is Phhreak. Got tired of end game with the other two so starting a new guy kinda puts the spark back in the game.

Sweet... one really must research those laptop graphics cards... Make sure they have independent memory, not sharing RAM. Anyway, as you may have seen from my other big post, my sweetie and I met playing WoW, and while we really don't spend much time discussing it outside the game, we sure enjoy spending time together playing it. She started a pally, and I started a mage and we're both 27 now. We both have multiple 70 in an end-game guild (t6 content now) but we play these low levels and seem to be having more fun. Of course, we're joined nightly by eblocher and/or blank on their lvl 26/27 druid/mage... so we're getting the best of both worlds! Sweethearts and nerds together makes for good fun!
