Suspicious ebay transaction

I decided to buy a slim ps2 stand, as they are extremely cheap on ebay
i searched trough a number of stands listed at 1 cent buy it now, knowing id pay for it in shipping, it came cheaper in the end anyways

so i bought with buy it now
the seller emailed me, asking to go trough a secure transaction site, wich basically adds up the price and s/h fees, something that happens quite often while buying oin ebay, besides the site only told me how much i had to pay, then i went with the ebay link to pay now, in paypal
i paid with e-check
the check cleared yesterday morning, and by the evening i had a notice that item was withdrawn from the ebay item listing, and the seller no long er registered

the seller said he'd send my item anyways
i fired off an email to ebay, questionning their very loose way of handling this as well
its just very annoying

btw, total amount i paid was only 5.81$ us

it wouldn't be ebay if it wasn't shady

i guess, but with nearly 40 transactiosn thats my only second one having a problem
the first being a guy selling me a cd, claiming it was legit original, and i received a cd-r. That was years ago, in the beginning of ebay

edit : now ebay is saying i didnt even win the item, wich is bullshit, i still got the email and notifications and whatnot.... bah!
