Well, don't really see the point in making this movie, 'cept making lotsa cash.
Hopefully it'll be good, but then again, it is Simpsons and it's almost always good. :)

meh simpsons episode quality has been dropping
and their formula of an eclectic series of event to warrant a more central plot is also quite redundant
its hard to blame them, as they are in their 17th season, and have plans for a least 2 more
i dont know, the idea of a simpsons movie, it should have sprouted back in 93-94

The simpsons haven't been great since the death of Phil Hartman...this is undeniable. However, Matt Greoning is one of the funniest people on earth.. this is also undeniable, futurama is proof enough of this..(and all of hte jokes family guy has stolen from them over the years too....) I think a simpsons movie would be funny, and fresh if they have a decent plot - ie, who shot mr burns (IMO this could have been made into a feature length film, and for some reason or another, wasn't)

but in any event, I wouldn't put it passed the creators of the simpsons to create something good ... although, if they make a movie, i'd expect it to round out the series and be a final goodbye into syndication.

the simpsons havent been really funny, as a whole in such a long time
its rehashed, re-used, and characters upon characters added to make it interesting, and to make it easier to make new episodes
the show definately lost its edge, with new shows being harsher, funnier, being more incisive and doing a better society critic

honestly, think about it, would you really wanna see a 2 hour movie of yellow people in the theater?
im thinking if it werent the simpsons it would have been a straight to dvd, like they did with familly guy
but cause its the simpson, they can afford a teather release
the more i think about it, the less im enthused about it
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

The simpsons was a good foundation for a lot of shows. But its over. It's been over for a while now.

South Park brought the game up to a whole new level about 10 years ago.
