got work

just signed the stuff this afternoon, and i start next week
its been one hell of ride the last few months
i guess i didnt expect it to take so long, but im glad i finally got something, and i think its a pretty decent job too
we'll see, im kinda in a daze from all the time i spent not working, looking or work, i had that broken rib too during that time, and just all the time spent home can mess you up
but spring, the new job and my friends a family will help keep my spirits up

just wanted to share with some longtime buddies

Woohoo, huge congrats!

I know the feeling, not the broken rib, but how dazed and numb you become when you have been home too long without work. I was unempleyed for like 6 months before I got the one I have now. So I'm glad you got a new job! Tell us, what is this new job about? IIRC you were some kind of helpdesk, computer-thingy before, or am I way off?

you are right on, and thats basically what the new job is as well
after about 3 months of trying to find something better ( like managing or formation or just better work place) i knew i had to just find some work
so its basically the same job as before, with slighty better advantages..
better schedule, better location, no night time pager support, paid courses

so i'll work there for a while, try to get as much as i can from there, and move on
i dont see myself staying there longer that 1-2 years
but its good to finally have something, thats for sure

It's an old kliché, but true methinks; it's easier to find a new job if you already have one. So yeah, you're doing the right thing, keep looking for a better one while still having a steady income.
