about to propose

less than a month away... gonna propose to my girlfriend. Just thought i'd let you guys in on the secret before it happens. Already paid for the ring, and picked it up... just gotta weather the storm now and not crack to propose early.

Try to make this evening special, women remember this day for a long, long time (they memorize all the details we tend to forget like after a month, despite remembering 100 PIN codes and 1000 phone numbers ) so you might as well make it memorable

there certainly is a plan. I'll expound on that later... as of right now i'm running late for a test i have to take today.

Okay boys the plan is this:

Tiffanee told me that she wanted to celebrate her birthday with her sorority sisters BEFORE the christmas break from school. Her birthday is actually Dec 17th, basically 1 week before Christmas.. So here's the plan

Finals week is from Dec 7 through the 11th, after that everyone goes home. So, I am getting a surprise birthday party (so everyone thinks) together at the sorority house. I have a final myself that day, so after the final i will head up to my job get my pay check and go across the mall (right across from my job) and pay for a spa day and call my girlfriend to meet me at work. Then i'll leave a note for her with 20 bucks and a camera and tell her to go across the way and talk to them. She'll get her spa treatment and at the end they'll give her a note that tells here to meet me at the movie theatre where we had our first movie date.... she'll go there expecting to see a movie except i will have left a birthday present and another clue. (the present is "I love you, Man" on DVD, the first movie we went to see) and a clue telling her to meet me at her work. There will be another clue there instead of me again... with the new 30seconds to Mars CD, telling her to go to the place where we had our first date a sushi restaurant down the street from the sorority house. From there she'll get the last clue and present (a blue topaz necklace) telling her to go back to the sorority house where we'll be waiting to surprise her, giving her a teddy bear from Build-a-Bear (her sorority's mascot is the teddy bear) named "William Airy-me" and when that is all done i'll get on one knee and actually ask the question....It will be a surprise to everyone there except for me and some of my own fraternity brothers who have been in on the secret. After the proposal we'll go as planned to the Pizza/Italian restaurant down the street for her birthday celebration.

As for the camera, I will have already used the camera getting a picture of me with all the people she will interact with, and she will use the camera to get a picture with them as well after they give her the clues/presents. Tiffanee loves to scrapbook, so I thought i'd throw that in there so she could have some permanent memories for scrapbooking.

The places are clumped together. Work, Spa, movie theatre are all near by, then her work, our first date, and her sorority house are across town, but all together too. So, its really just a drive across town, and back.

As it gets closer to time... i am getting nervous. To you married people... I don't know how you kept your head on straight. haha
