Biggest douche in the universe contest...
I nominate stephen seagal... if curious about why.. just check his wikipedia file.
You may nominate people if you like.

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
There probably isn't any meaning in life. Perhaps you can find something interesting to do while you are alive. Like how you found that flower. Like how I found you.
Buttons aren't toys.
But I'm not the only one

I blamed god, I hated him for ruining my life, but then I realized something, you cannot be angry with god and not believe in him at the same time. Nobody can.

In "Sicko" did he visit countries with socialized medicine (as he proposes) like England, Canada, etc., and talk to the people there who have to live in that system? Did he interview Canadians coming to the US for medical treatment because they didn't want to wait 8 months on a waiting list? Did he interview or sample any of the "40 million" or whatever without insurance in the US as to why they don't have it? (Hint: many don't want it, or feel they need it, they're comfortable with the 'risk', especially young adults). Did he cover the impact that forced pricing from big government medical programs like Medicare has had on private hospitals?
I hope he covered some of these things. Maybe he did. It would surprise me though.

No, but he explains why (trying not to give spoilers)
No, but he stated this movie wasn't "for them", and explains why.
No. But also consider that Medicare is the most efficiently-run medical plan.
Honestly Mike, go watch it, then we'll talk (sorry to derail this) in another topic.

I havent seen the movie, though Moore has openly spoke out it, so i wouldnt mind you giving spoilers.
If you want, do it in the politics forum with spolier in the topic.
And mikey, Michael Moore said his goal was to focus on healthcare about all else, and try to make the movie as by partisan as possible to make sure both sides could support the movement, and not get lost in the politics.
Disagree with his views or not, he's trying to better the world. I think that alone means he's not a douche.
Also mikey, on the healthcare topic.. consider this.
1. There is no ultimate choice that FORCES people in any of those countries to use country run medical facilities. All those places you listed have both private and country run healthcare. Those people coming to america are choosing amercian healthcare over private healthcare. Which means they are choosing our doctors. Not our system.
2. The only people the healthcare choices effects are the middle class. Rich people already have health care and arent effected (they'll stay private), poor people already have government healthcare (they'll stay puplic), and middle class people have a choice. Nothing, or something they will struggle to afford.
This issue seriously effects me, because i am a young adult who is 100% required to have healthcare for medical reasons. Let me assure you this is a massive fucking problem that would be solved if the government would only give us the OPTION to divert some of our tax money into a healthcare program.
In a day with 100 billion dollars wars i never supported, i dont think its too much to ask for.
