playing D@x without the disc

Do you guys know how to play D2x without requiring the disc? I remember there was a method to it but I cant remember it.
My CD drive is extremely loud (My whole pc is about to die as is anyhow) and I want to be able to cut down on the noise by eliminating the need for the drive to be used.

basically you need a full install and copy the music file to your hard drive

you can download the game from the blizzard online store now, its free if you have your cd keys

I cant believe how much I am loving playing this game again. the only thing it lacks is a solid core group of people I can hang out with to play regularly
