So.. word on the street is D3 is pretty good now. Anyone playing?

I play it on couch coop with a buddy on the ps4.
It's certainly changed quite a bit.
But I don't think they have addressed the pvp, and it is still mostly about grinding for uniques and sets.
they just released a patch, so I might not be up to date.

I will probably do a single season hardcore run around Christmas time for shits and giggles.

For someone too lazy to read up himself, what are the main changes with last patch? I haven't played since the expansion with the paladin etc came.

sorry for the late reply, I don't get on here all that often!
They added some new areas, but mostly they changed the rifts, if you knew about them? Streamlined it some, so it's easier to grind them for loot and exp.
They also added the kunai cube, which is a sort of horadric cube, it allows to upgrade rares to unique, reroll uniques, draw unique powers for item that you can the use as a power...
It changed up the builds, since you could have 3 more unique power on your character.

Rifts are main grinding looting places nowadays.
You can up the difficulty by selecting higher rifts, for more exp, gold and better loot chances.
It's a set dungeon you have to beat in under 15 minute to spawn the boss

I am a member of the Baldurs gate/beamdog forum and someone just posted a thread about a Dii playthrough as if roleplaying. Got me so excited to play through the old game again.
Btw, replying that quick in this place nowadays is really uncommon!

Genie, if I recall correctly. I remember I tracked someone down this summer when I thought the site was down for good 'cause I hadn't been able to login for almost a year, and I think it was him. But then I got the answer the site was still online but apparently it was something about logging in via the phone that messed it up.
I have a couple of you guys on Facebook, but to be frank I don't even remember who had which alias anymore
I remember yours though since I've always talked more to you than I did with the SW galaxies guys like Genie, Crow etc.
I saw you mentioned the rumour of D4 in the other thread. I've heard it too. Not sure what to feel. I actually thought DIII was better than many others thought. There were some things though that made it last alot shorter than DII, but I still think it was a fairly good game. So, if they do release D4, I will play it just as I played D3, which was very, very casually.
