Console reliability

so my ps3's disc drive just died on me
wont read any discs, even though it knows theres a disc
this seems to be a common issue for ps3's

i just had bought God of war3 as well, to celebrate the new job.

and my old xbox 360 which is more than 3 years old is still alive and well

Do you have some sort of insurance on it?

typical one year warranty from Sony, but its past due
so its about 160$ cad for the repair, which seems like highway roberry to me, its half the price of a new system

That truly sucks ass, heh.. I know alot of people had trouble with their xbox 360's but I have never hard about a ps3 just shutting down like that :-/

Good thing you got a new job now then so you don't have as much spare time left to play games, heh..

yea since starting i havent had time to game at all
jusrt adjusting to the early schedule and studying the notes i took at work and stuff took about all my time

but i gotta give props to Sony, i sent them my ps3 on sunday, and by wednesday it was sent to my doorstep
pretty quick turnaround
