Even though I dont have a Wii, I was able to play this game. At first, it was -really- fun, til I realized I had absolutely no idea how to actually fight in that game. After I started gimping around and attempting to learn how the controls worked (I used a game cube comtroller to play tbh) I was able to pull off a few match wins in a 3 player, 1 cpu brawl
we were able to unlock Snake, who although cool lookin and a few moves that were awesome to watch (the neck break move was tight) lost his luster.
To me, pokemon trainer and bowser were my favorites, with Link (of course) coming in third. Ness and the little boy squad along with ice climbers, were HUGELY ANNOYING
The game has some fun features and the gameplay with the graphics are tight, but after about an hour, I decided to quit and left fer home. It just didnt appeal to me all that much. I feel the replay in solo mode is wanting...

The fleecy cloud may kiss the sky...the rose may kiss the butterfly...the morning dew may kiss the grass...and you, my friend, can kiss my ass!
While its not the best fighting game ever, it is a huge nod to presumably lifelong Nintendo fans. The insane number of unlock ables is awesome especially when you get trophies from obscure games you may remember as a kid and be able to read a little about is always fun. I've been playing the Subspace Emissary with a friend when we didn't have 4 players to brawl. While we were playing it we agreed that this is totally Final Fantasy plot driven only to find out it was written and composed by two men who had worked on that IP.
While I used to play Samus all the time in Melee I've really gotten into Ike the limited time I've been playing. He is absolutely beastly in terms of launching and his recovery moves are able to cover a lot of horizontal and vertical distance. He is however slow as hell but you can really play defensively and then go in and demolish when everyone else goes up in %.
As for Snake his play style is kind of interesting with his Smash moves all utilizing a different weapon. The down and up Smashes really take some getting used to with the timing on the up and the planting of the down. I would love to learn to play him well though.

Kad and I can probably talk about our summer playing Melee and drinking beers. (like the case of skunky micro brew I dropped down the stairs). I really haven't had much of a chance to get used to this version.

"I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't have maps and I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and the Iraq and everywhere like such as and I believe that they should our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S. or should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future for us."
