www.swgemu.eu has an alpha server for a pre-cu server. Right now, you can only walk around in your skivvies as a base male/female (bald heads etc) and talk, as well as make yourself 100x taller than normal and warp instantly to any wp. Combat code is currently being tested...it should be fully functional within the year the guy said.... this could be big... ihope so

I bet this will get crushed by Lucas or SOE before it gets off the ground. But anyway...
I have very fond memories of my early days playing SWG. I don't think I want to play the game in the pre-CU form because it might shatter the nostalgia I feel for the game. It's kind of like firing up the original Bards Tale recently. I loved that game and spent countless days playing it. After replaying it, it didn't seem quite as fun. Thats a stretch I know but you get the point. It would be interesting to see this launch though and see how long it can last. I saw a screenshot and it brought a tear to my eye to see the old school icons.
