Re: Cash, crafting and the theory behind flipping
Agree with all the above points. Honestly I do like the AH feature, as compared to the old days of browsing trade chat spam and forum... vs AH, I take AH any day. However with RMAH it has become a little more than that as real $$ involved. And in turn it has made a definite gap between good -> great...

Re: Patch 1.0.3 and the effects on gameplay?
Zo those are very good stats as a sword and board barb and plenty for Act 1. Great gear is available nowadays is so much more varied and cheaper (you don't need million dollar items and reasonable gear can be gotten for well under 50k nowadays!) My speculations: Start building a set with MF that all...

Re: Patch 1.0.3 and the effects on gameplay?
BTW I think the next level above Inferno should be called AH master mode As I reckon everyone who has killed diablo was a pretty good AH person to snipe deals/flip items for profit in order to acquire the gear needed. I am still not 100% sure on AH but I'll take it over trying to read trade channel ...

Re: Patch 1.0.3 and the effects on gameplay?
I finished inferno on my barb about 2 weeks ago (the day before RMAH). I am running 2H build. My gear is pretty decent and I was comfortable farming Act 2. But it was far from godly and in no way was I comfortable farming Act 3, Act 4 I didn't even bother going back into after I killed Inferno Diabl...

Re: Item importance and lack of diversity
I think right now in D3 there's a lot less mod diversity. Uniques are typically rares with better stats or mods which the item normally could not get (like IAS on armor) I think I know where you are coming from though, remember crushing blow on goblin toes? Made low damage super fast attk speed buil...

Re: Item importance and lack of diversity
Wasn't D2 similar though? At the end game of D2C, lets say rings, everyone wanted resist all, and then if you were a caster, you use used SoJ or FCR rings with stats, barbs used leech rings with attack rating/stats In an ideal world everyone has stats of everything (stat vita resist all IAS crit hit...

Re: The epicness of a fresh diablo experience
Boo, get home from work, have some dinner... log on for 5minutes to check the AH... "battlenet maintainence has started" BOO!!! Storm, I'm running quite a similar spec right now as I am farming Inferno butcher too. I play with 400+ ms so I find ignore pain is great as sometimes I desync quite easily...

Re: The epicness of a fresh diablo experience
Haven't really played other classes as the feel of the barb is just right. Everything sounds powerful and it's metal as hell just jumping into something and smashing it in the face, and sometimes when you gib stuff the bodies fly up into your monitor, never get tired of that! A shame as it's a very ...

To all my mates past and present, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, hope everyone is alive and kicking ass. Been a pretty crazy year but hopefully I can hang around here a bit more since things have died down a bit.

Lol my avatar is called "The Laughing Man" logo. It's taken from the Ghost in the Shell anime, a really good futuristic based detective cop series. The text is from the old book The Catcher in The Rye which I studied for english in high school, as soon as I saw it, clicked immediately to what it was...

(after a fucking nervous week)
Well I've been working here and there after graduating back a few years ago, stuff like 3-6 month contracts, temping, part time, yadda yadda ya all over the place, but haven't had any success applying for permanent full time work for a while, probably a bit unlucky but anyway. In late march, I got a...
